November 28, 2011 - Ramallah Palestine

Palestinian Association of Certified Public Accountants (PACPA), And Arab Society of Certified Accountants (ASCA) in Cooperation with Talal Abu Ghazaleh & co. international (TAGI), conclude the Activities of the Second Professional Conference " Towards to ensure the Relationship with the Palestinian National Authority Institutions"
PACPA chairman Mr. Hassouneh opening the speech, and welcomed the Participants and the audience.

  • Dr. Jihad Al-Wazeer Governor of the Palestinian Monetary Authority.
  • Mr. Jamal Abu Baker General Manager of Palestine Financial and Administrative Control Bureau.
  • Ms. Mona Al-Masri Deputy Minster & President of Board of Professional Auditing in Palestine.
  • Ms. Abeer Odeh General Manager of Palestinian Capital Market Authority. 
  • Mr. Omar Hashem Palestinian Union of Chambers of Commerce. 
  • Mr. Nezam Ayoub Companies Controller  Ministry of National Economy.
  • Ms. Fadwa Al-sha‘aer General Manager of Associations at Ministry of Interior.
  • More than 175 members of PACPA General Assembly.
  • The Palestinian private sector representative

Mr. Hassouneh talks about the importance of complying and implementing the International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS), And International Standards on Auditing (ISA) also the code of conducts manual that issued by International Federation of Accountants (IFAC),

During the conference PACPA honoring the first Generation of the Palestinian Auditors who spent most of their life in serving the profession, Also PACPA Board Members honored Mr. Jamal Milhem, the Board Member of Arab Society of Certified Accountants (ASCA) who sponsored the conference.

Conference Recommendations:
Developing the Audit working procedures & methodology.

  • Holding up conferences, sessions & Training courses that raise the awareness of implementing the Rules & Regulations.
  • Complying with International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS), And International Standards on Auditing (ISA).
  • Complying with the International financial Reporting Standards  for Small & Medium enterprises (IFRS for SME’s). 
  • Complying with Rules & obligations issued by the International Federation of Accountants (IFAC).
  • Emphasis on the adoption of Palestinian Association of Certified Public Accountants for IFRS, ISA, & Code of conducts that issued by International Federation of Accountants (IFAC).
  • Compliance with disclosure standards under international standards and requirements of the profession for the listed companies.
  • Encouraging establishing Auditing companies between the auditors and take advantage of the expertise available.
  • Adoption of rules of Code of Corporate Governance issued by the National Committee for Corporate Governance.
  • Holding the third professional conference at an international level at the middle of the next year.
  • Participating in laws & regulation formulation & amendments.
  • Continue the working  with all Palestinian official authorities and provide them with the names of licensed auditors annually
  • Finally, a call for all auditors to speed up the conclusion of tax receipts to assist the State in supporting its Treasury.

November 21, 2011 - Ramallah Palestine

PACPA participated in Annual Palestinian Capital Market Forum; this forum discussed "Family Businesses: Strategies for the Future". It aims at analyzing the present status and challenges facing Palestinian family businesses and highlighting opportunities for growth and sustainability benefiting from regional and international expertise. The forum will capitalize on PALESTINE EXCHANGE (PEX) efforts at targeting Palestinian family business with the potential to be transformed into listed shareholding companies as a step towards institutionalization, growth and sustainability as well as enhancing transparency and good corporate governance practices.

November 16, 2011 - Hebron Palestine

PACPA participated in the Conference of the political economy of Palestine "Daily practices, sustainability and Prospects" organized by the University of Hebron, PACPA Represented by Mr. Chairman Hassouneh he present a working papers that discussed the reality of Palestinian legislation and its impact on economic development also he explain the impact of Absence of a Palestinian central bank and its results on Palestinian economic environment

PACPA has launched its new website in English Language. All the entire material has translated into English language that fit the various users of this website, also PACPA developed new feature is its website which view the monthly newsletter in English language that contains all the news and activities of PACPA.
